This is a concept of double-impact action incentives. And that, at three levels of intervention. Thus, we invite people, companies and states to carry out development actions in their countries, but also in other African countries. We talk about impact because we value the significant changes that result in terms of development on the continent and benefit for the people.
This concept strengthens development both in countries and on the continent, as well as integration within states and populations, while recognizing that the development of one potentiates that of the other and vice versa. In fact, the integration of states has as its ultimate goal that of populations. The intensification of trade is characterized by an increase in human, material and financial flows which will lead to a harmonization of customs and tax policies. Is this not what the bi and multilateral institutions of Africa are calling for. These exchanges naturally include the transfer of skills and promote interculturality, the foundation of any lasting union, the cement of tolerance and mutual respect as well as the ultimate vision of pan-Africanism. This stage that will make Africa, one and only, rich in its diversity, strong in its plurality, peaceful and master of its destiny. All these transformations are facilitated in a context aimed at creating wealth, jobs and improving the lives of populations! It is worth noting that the concept is not limited to results, but extends to impact. It is an invitation to pursue progress and growth right into the household, putting the African at the centre of all interests and people, the end of all policies.
With 1,492,025,994 inhabitants, including more than 400 million between the ages of 15 and 35, the mother continent is the largest reservoir of young people on the planet. A reality that calls for two imperatives, if Africa wants to be part of a development logic. The first is the identification of successful models, success that can serve as a reference on the thorny path of development. The second is to encourage as many people as possible to imitate, follow or even do better than these identified models. While this strategy is not isolated enough to meet all the challenges of development, it has the merit of uniting energies and efforts in order to amplify them in the right direction in a way that benefits African countries.
This is the main reason for HILP’s commitment to identify individuals and legal entities with a strong impact not only in their home countries, but also in other African countries, whether they are contiguous or not. Indeed, in its vision based on the rigor of its expertise, HILP relies on leadership as an instrument for creating vocation, mobilization and motivation to strengthen the dynamics of progress in countries and guarantee a better image for the continent, and a prominent place on the global chessboard.
